Cybersecurity is often seen as a technical challenge but in reality, many of the biggest risks are human. As organizations invest in advanced technologies, awareness, behavior, and communication are becoming critical to reducing cyber risk.

At Cyber Instincts, we take a human-centric approach to security. That’s why we’re excited to welcome Ida Dahlgren as our new Marketing & Growth Associate.

Meet Ida

Ida joins Cyber Instincts with a background in digital marketing, strategy, and sustainability. Currently completing her MSc in Marketing and Consumption, she brings a strong understanding of how people think, make decisions, and respond to communication.

With experience in both strategic planning and hands-on execution, Ida has worked with digital campaigns, brand development, and project leadership. Her international experience from the United States and Singapore adds a global perspective on behavior and communication which are key elements in today’s cybersecurity landscape.

Why Cybersecurity Awareness Needs a Behavioral Perspective

Human error remains one of the leading causes of cyber incidents. Employees may understand policies, but real-world decisions are influenced by habits, stress, and context. Without the right communication and reinforcement, awareness alone is not enough.

As cyber threats increasingly target people, organizations need to focus on building a strong security culture. This means:

  • Integrating security into daily workflows

  • Communicating in a way that resonates

  • Treating employees as part of the defense

At Cyber Instincts, this human-centric approach is at the core of how we help organizations reduce risk.

Looking Ahead

Welcoming Ida reflects our continued focus on strengthening cybersecurity through awareness and behavior.

With her background in strategy, communication, and sustainability, she contributes to bridging the gap between knowledge and action. Helping organizations build more resilient security cultures.
